Want a little bit of the Windows Phone 7 Series experience on your phone, but don’t want to go all out and install a WP7S theme? Here’s a smaller step you can take. A member of the xda-developers forum has extracted the ringtones and wallpapers from the emulator image Microsoft recently released.

There are 6 wallpapers and 23 ringtones available for download.

To be honest, most of the wallpapers are rather uninspiring. But to be fair, they were taken from an early, pre-release build of the operating system designed to allow developers to build and test new applications. I suspect Microsoft might spruce up the wallpaper gallery before launch.

Some of the ringtones, on the other hand, are kind of catchy.

You can download all the files from the xda-developers forum. You’ll need to register for a free account for the download links to work.
