Stranded in Londan, Paris, Amsterdam, or another European city waiting for the smoke from the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland to clear? Well, there are probably worse places to be stuck — but what exactly are you supposed to do with your unexpected free tme?

Lonely Planet offers iPhone travel guides for dozens of cities.  Typically, the company charges between $10 and $15 for each, but for the next few days Lonely Planet is offering 13 city guides for free. It’s sort of a volcanic special — but you don’t have to actually be stranded to take advantage of the deal. Just download any of the following iPhone apps before April 22nd and you won’t be charged a penny:
