Google has rolled out an update to its mobile search page. When you visit Google using an iPhone or Android browser, you’ll now see a little >> symbol next to the search box on every search results page. When you tap the button, the results will slide to the right, making room for search options that let you sort by time, category, or other criteria.

In other words, Google’s mobile search page now looks a lot more like the version you see when using a desktop or laptop computer.

Of course, most mobile web browsers don’t really have enough room to display both the search options and results in portrait mode. But you can just pan to the right or left to navigate, or rotate your phone and view the page in landscape mode.
