A few days ago Google quietly rolled out a new feature for the Android Market: spelling suggestions. You know how when you incorrectly spell a Google search query, Google will not only offer search results for the terms it thinks you meant to type, but it will ask you if meant to type something else? Yeah, the Android Market does that now too.
Not only does the Market automatically recognize when you misspell a word and offer the correct spelling, but it will also show you the first few results for the query that you typed and for the recommended spelling.
I’ve noticed the new feature on my Google Nexus One running a pre-release version of Android 2.2 Froyo. I’m not absolutely certain if it works on earlier versions of Android.
