Marvel has offered a comic book reader/store for the Apple iPad since day one. But now that the iPad has been available for nearly 3 months, Marvel’s chief rival in the comic book space is entering the fray with a new app for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
Like Marvel’s app, the DC Comics app is basically a branded version of the Comixology app, but with DC titles instead of Marvel comics. But if you want Batman, Superman, or Green Lantern comics, this is the way to go.
The DC Comics App is available as a free download from the app store, but you’ll have to pay for most comics on a per-issue basis.
