Sure, Palm is soon to become a division of HP and the company’s WebOS software platform is expected to power everything from slate PCs to web-connected printers soon. But that doesn’t mean that Palm isn’t already working on new smartphones and an updated version of WebOS for mobile phones.

Speaking on a conference call yesterday, a Palm representative confirmed that the company has “more devices in the works” and that the company has a new version of the OS coming.

That’s about it for now. We don’t have any details. It sounds like we might not see those new devices and the new software until next year, but that’s not 100% clear from the statement.
