Research in Motion is expected to launch a major update to the BlackBerry operating system later this year. A few months ago the company posted a video showing some of the new features in BlackBerry OS 6.0. Today RIM has put out a second video, which shows off the web browser and a new social networking tool that makes it easy to keep up with updates from your Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace accounts.

The video also highlights the new universal search feature which makes it easy to find anything on your device, including music, contacts, appointments, and other content or data.

The on-screen keyboard looks decent, and the overall user interface is quite attractive, with smooth animations, and finger-frinedly gesture support.

You can check out the video after the break.
