Research in Motion launched a public beta of its official Twitter client for BlackBerry phones in April. But if you’re the sort of person who likes to wait until developers remove the beta label before trying out apps, the wait is over. The official BlackBerry Twitter client is now available for download.
The latest version now supports several additional languages and comes with the ability to view Twitter user profiles from any page. And it’s probably more stable and bug-free than earlier versions.
The app comes with all the usual features including the ability to read updates from your Twitter contacts, view direct messages as soon as they arrive, reply to Tweets, re-Tweet, and post links from the BlackBerry Browser.
Twitter for BlackBerry requires BlackBerry 4.5 or later.
