Amazon has pushed out an updated version of its Amazon MP3 app for Google Android. The new version pretty much has one major new feature: You can now enter gift codes or promo codes.

Yup, that’s it. But you know what? It’s totally worth downloading the update for… assuming you’ve ever received an Amazon claim code which can save you a bit of money on your next purchase.

Oddly, you have to enter the code before you make any purchases. You can’t enter it at checkout as you would using the web-based Amazon store. Maybe that will come in the next update…

Amazon MP3 is available as a free download from the Android Market.
