Agile Messenger is an instant messenger app for mobile phones including BlackBerry, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Palm, and iOS devices. Now there’s also a version available for Google Android.

While Android comes with an instant messaging app built into the operating system, it only supports Google Talk. Agile Messenger, on the other hand, supports Yahoo, AOL, Facebook, Windows Live, ICQ, Jabber, and MySpace messengers. It also lets you snap photos or shoot quick videos on your phone and share them with your contacts using supported services including Google Talk, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, and Windows Live messengers.

Agile Messenger is available in the Android Market for $4.99. The company says it will offer a 14 day free trial, but I don’t see a trial download in the Market yet.

There are other multi-protocol instant messengers which are available for free, including eBuddy, Nimbuzz, and Meebo, but Agile Messenger certainly isn’t the most expensive app out there. BeejiveIM runs $9.99.

thanks Dave!
