Battery Booster is a free app for Google Android which provides you with detailed information about your battery — as well as quick access to settings that can help you extend your battery life.

The main screen of the app shows a battery meter as well as current temperature, voltage, and other detailed information. There are also shortcuts along the bottom to toggle the wireless and Bluetooth, adjust the screen brightness, and choose how long your phone should wait before turning off the backlight.

The Battery Tweak tab has even more options, allowing you to do things like automatically disable your WiFi and Bluetooth when the screen is turned off and reenable them when you hit the power button to turn the screen back on. You can also configure Battery Booster to trigger an alarm when the battery is low, or automatically turn off your WiFi or Bluetooth when the battery is low.

Battery Booster also displays a battery meter in the status bar at the top of your device, which shows an actual percentage rather than just a picture like the default battery meter. There’s also a home screen widget which you can use to quickly launch the app, or open the wireless or display settings.

Battery Booster is available as a free download from the Android Market.
