Caligo Chaser is probably one of the best known RPG games for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Normally it sells for about $2.99, which isn’t much money at all for a decent slash and dash RPG which can provide countless hours of playtime. But for a limited time, the developers are offering Caligo Chaser as a free download.
The game features customizable characters, 135 skill upgrades, dozens of skills, and over 300 types of items to collect.
The game has decent, if not stellar graphics, and the controls should be pretty familiar to anyone who has ever held a Gameboy — although I still find it’s a lot tougher to use the touchscreen version of a D-pad than the real thing. I’ll be honest and say I haven’t played far enough into the game to comment on the plot, characters, and writing… but with a whopping price tag of free, I’m not sure how much those aspects matter.
There’s also a version of Caligo Chaser for Android, which I tested a while back on my Google Nexus One, but the iOS version appears to be much faster and easier to control, although I’m not sure if that’s a hardware or a software issue.
A few days ago we talked about a new Hack N Slash ‘Caligo RPG called Chaser. So far he has received many positive comments and ratings it’s good to see. We had confidence in this title to a popular.
