We’ve seen plenty of Nintendo and GameBoy emulators for Android, and even a Playstation1 emulator. Now it looks like there’s a Dreamcast emulator in the works as well.
The project is based on an open source Seage Dreamcast emulator called nullDC. The developer is porting the app to run on Android, and while it’s still in very early stages, the emulator does boot and load the Dreamcast ROM on Android phones. You can see it in action in the video after the break.
Unfortunately, there are currently no touchscreen-based controls and no there’s no way to actually run a game. But if all goes according to plan, you may one day be able to play classic Dreamcast games on your Android phone.
Update:Well that was fast. The developer has posted a few videos of games running with nullDC on the Samsung Galaxy S. You can check them out after the break.
