Fring has added fringOut capabilities to its mobile app for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. In other words, in addition to make free voice and video calls to other fring users, you can now purchase credit to make cheap calls to international phone numbers using the fring app.
The company launched fringOut for Android phones a few months ago, but just added the feature to iOS this weekend.
In order to activate fringOut and purchase credits, just hit the fringOut icon in the upper right corner of the app. You can then hit the Dialer tab to make phone calls over an internet.
Fring is also offering $5 of free credit to travelers stranded at European airports. You can find details on how to get the credit at the company blog.
Fring is available as a free download from the App Store.
