Now that Google has announced support for in-app purchases for Android, Disney has announced that it will begin bringing its mobile apps to the platform — including the popular Tap Tap Revenge franchise.
Tap Tap Revenge is a rhythm-based game that’s sort of like Guitar Hero for a mobile phone. Disney offers the game as a free download, but the free version only comes with a select number of songs. You have to purchase additional tracks if you want to play more levels — and the in-app purchases are clearly where the company makes its money. Tap Tap Revenge is one of the top-grossing games for iOS, and Disney says it will be available for Android this Spring, following the rollout of the in-app purchasing feature.
Disney also showcased two additional iOS apps that it’s bringing to Android: Radio Disney, and Jelly Car, a physics-based game.
