As promised, Zynga has brought its popular multiplayer Scrabble clone Words With Friends to Android. The game is now available as a free download from the Android Market.

You can play the game against other Android users, or against iPhone or iPad users. Words With Friends lets you play against people you know or against random players who are online now. You can chat with other users within the app.

The game lets you play up to 20 games simultaneously and sends push notifications when it’s your turn.

Words With Friends wasn’t the first multiplayer Scrabble-like word game to hit Android. It now goes up against the relatively popular WordFeud app which is also available from the Android Market.
