Google has rolled out a new feature for mobile search results, allowing you to view thumbnail images of web pages before clicking through to actually load those pages. It’s called Instant Previews, and we first heard that it would be coming to mobile browsers a few weeks ago when a limited number of users started to notice the feature.
When you click on the little magnifying glass next to a search result, a new view will open, showing you a snapshot of the web site along with some text and a link below the picture. You can also scroll left or right within the page to see other search results.
Instant Previews are available on devices running Android 2.2 and up and iOS 4.0 and up. The service currently supports 38 different languages.
