Tired of waiting to find out if a software update is coming to your smartphone? Microsoft has put together a new page that lets you track the status of system updates by phone, carrier, and region.

While Android smartphone updates are hard to track, because it’s typically up to handset makers and wireless carriers to decide if and when to make the software available, Microsoft has much more control over Windows Phone 7 updates, making it possible to maintain this sort of list.

The status page should give you a pretty good idea of whether or not you can expect to get the “NoDo” update which brings support for copy and paste as well performance improvements.

It looks like the Dell Venue Pro and HTC HD7 should be the first phones to receive the update in the US.
