Miro is an open source media app for Windows Mac and Linux. You can use it to organize and play your video collection, but it also lets you view online video, download audio and video podcasts. Soon you’ll also be able to use Miro to synchronize files with mobile devices including an iPad, iPhone, or Android phone or tablet.
NewTeeVee reports that the upcoming Miro 4 release will let you automatically download media to a connected mobile device. Video will automatically be converted to a format supported by your device.
Miro 4 will also support home sharing, letting you stream media from a computer running Miro to an Apple iPad or other device that supports the iTunes DAAP protocol.
