Like the latest version of Twitter for iOS, but hate the new “quick bar” which hangs out at the top of the screen showing you trending topics and promoted tweets (also known as advertisements)? Well, rolling back to a previous version of an iPhone app is tough to do. But fortunately there’s another option: Install TeeWee.
TeeWee is a free Twitter Client for iOS which looks and feels almost identical to the official Twitter app. But it doesn’t have the Quick Bar, and it support for a few more settings options, allowing you to change the theme, date format, or font size, among other things. You can also change the default list format to “bubble” mode, making each Tweet in your timeline look like an IM message — although I have no idea why you’d do that.
Since TeeWee is so similar to the official Twitter app, I wouldn’t be surprised if it eventually gets pulled from the App Store, so you might want to grab it while you can.
