Google may have finally gotten around to releasing an official Google Reader app for Android, but the official app only supports one Google Reader account at a time, doesn’t let you save data to an SD card, and doesn’t support themes. D7 Google Reader does all of those things.

D7 Google Reader is also faster than the official Google Reader app, supports podcasts, and features a built-in search tool. It also has a really purty home screen which shows you how many unread items are in your reading list at a glance.

The app features a number of customization options, allowing you to adjust the theme, use the volume keys to navigate, and whether to show all items or just new items.

D7 Google Reader also a home screen widget that will show your unread item count.

There’s a free, ad-supported version of D7 Google Reader available from the Android Market.

There’s also an ad-free Pro version for $1.56.
