Google announced last night that Android 2.3.4 would roll out to Nexus One and Nexus S smartphones in the coming weeks. But if you’ve got a Nexus S you don’t have to wait for an over the air update. You can download and install Android 2.3.4 manually.

Android Central has the download link and step by step directions. Basically you need to copy the installer to the root directory of the phone’s internal storage, turn off the phone, enter the bootloader by holding the volume up button when you hit the power button, and then follow the steps to install the upad.

When all’s said and done you should be able to use the new voice and video chat feature in Android 2.3.4 on the Nexus S. If you notice any other changes, let us know in the comments!
