HTC has introduced a new version of its custom software for Android phones. It’s called HTC Sense 3.0 and it includes new 3D animations, a new notification bar, and an improved lock screen.

Users will be able to view weather forecasts, messages, photos, or other information from the lock screen, or even launch some programs without first unlocking the phone.

Sense 3.0 also appears to have some of the new full screen widgets HTC introduced a few months ago when showing off the new HTC Flyer 7 inch tablet. There are new apps including an email app which shows message previews.

The first phone to ship with HTC Sense 3.0 will be the HTC Sensation — which will also be the first smartphone to use the new HTC Watch video service.

You can check out a video overview of the new phone with a glimpse of Sense 3.0 below.
