RockMelt is a web browser with social tools built in, making it easy to share any web page with your contacts on Facebook and other social networking sites. You can also use the browser to see the latest status updates from your contacts in the browser, and receive notifications when your saved social networking sites and other web pages are updated.
Now RockMelt is preparing to launch a web browser for iOS. While the mobile app doesn’t offer all the features you’ll find in the desktop browser, it does have a few nifty options including:
- Integrated feed reader for Facebook, Twitter, and other updates
- View web pages shared in your friends’ Twitter and Facebook links
- Synchronization with the desktop browser for sharing bookmarks, contacts, and other settings
- Read Later option for saving pages to view later
- Share web pages with your contacts, add photos, and geotag links
The RockMelt app for iOS should hit the App Store in the next few days. The company is also working on an Android app.
