Apple is expected to keep up its tradition of launching new iPhone models and major updates to the iOS operating system this summer. But a Vietnamese site has posted a few videos showing what he claims to is a pre-release version of iOS 5.
It’s possible that what we’re actually looking at here is a jailbroken iPhone running a custom utility for switching apps which gives the user interface a bit of that Exposé look and feel. But either way, it’s kind of fun to watch.
It’s also not clear whether we’re looking at a mythical white iPhone 4, a customized version fo the standard phone, or maybe even an iPhone 5 in the video.
The app switcher which shows thumbnails of running apps is definitely the show stopper, but there’s a second video which gives a more detailed overview of the phone hardware and the software. You can check out both videos after the break.
Update: It looks like this may be an early prototype of iOS 4 rather than a preview of iOS 5.

If there’s no revamped notifications, this isn’t going to be received well (and rightfully so). Android is so lucky to have a dedicated panel.
