Two of the most visually impressive games for iOS are on sale this week for 50% off ore more. [itunes link=”http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/infinity-blade/id387428400?mt=8&uo=4″ title=”infinity blade” text=”Infinity Blade”] is one of the first games built using the Unreal Engine and it features console-quality graphics with controls optimized for touch. It normally runs $5.99, but Infinity Blade is on sale for $2.99 right now. Version 1.3 also includes a new content pack, called Infinity Blade: Arena.

[itunes link=”http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/chaos-rings/id365678365?mt=8&uo=4″ title=”chaos rings” text=”Chaos Rings”] is a role-playing game with a turn-based combat system from Square Enix, the folks who brought us the Final Fantasy series. The game’s been around since last year, but recent updates have improved the graphics for iOS devices with Retina displays. Normally the game runs $12.99 in the App Store, but it’s currently on sale for $3.99, which made it kind of an impulse buy for me this morning. It’s like paying $4 for a Final Fantasy title with high quality graphics, decent music, and many hours of gameplay.

The reason Square Enix is running a sale on Chaos Rings is to promote the launch of the second game in the series, [itunes link=”http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id424794827?mt=8&uo=4″ title=”chaos rings omega” text=”Chaos Rings Ω”], which is available now for full price at $11.99.
