TweetCaster is an attractive and feature-packed Twitter client for Android. There’s a free, ad-supported version of TweetCaster, but the ad-free TweetCaster Premium usually runs $4.99. Today you can download TweetCaster Premium for free from the Amazon Appstore.

So what does Tweetcaster have to offer? Quite a bit, really. The user interface is attractive and easy to navigate, and there are 4 themes to choose from. You can also customize the colors for @mentions or your own tweets, adjust font sizes, or fine tune other visual settings.

Unlike the official Twitter app for Android, TweetCaster lets you use multiple Twitter accounts — although you can only view status updates from one account at a time. You’ll have to flip back to the home screen and choose which account you want to view if you want to toggle between accounts.

The app lets you select from a list of URL shortening services as well as image and video uploading services. And you can configure how often the app should check for new tweets, whether it should notify you when you get new tweets, mentions, or direct messages, and how it should alert you (with a ringtone, flashing LED, or vibration, for instance).

I’ve been playing around with TweetCaster Premium for a few hours and I have to say I’m pretty impressed. I’m not sure whether I’ll keep it on my phone, since storage space is at a premium and every 3MB counts… but TweetCaster Premium is definitely worth checking out while it’s free.
