Want to read magazines on your Android tablet? While Next Issue Media launched a magazine app which lets users subscribe to popular titles including Time, Fortune, and Popular Mechanics a few weeks ago, the app is only available for the Samsung Galaxy Tab at the moment. Now there’s an option for the rest of us… assuming the rest of us have tablets running Android 3.0 and up.

Zinio is now available as a free download from the Android Market. The app lets users read to magazines including Bloomberg BusinessWeek, The Economist, Maxim, Esquire, Elle, Cosmopolitan, T3, PC World, National Geographic, and Harpers.

Users can buy single issues of magazines or subscribe for better pricing. Zinio has a range of titles from around the globe. The company also offers apps for the Apple iPad and iPhone. The new Android tablet app looks a lot like the iPad version. I have no idea why the company hasn’t released an Android smartphone app that looks like the iPhone version yet.
