Starbucks has rolled out a new mobile app for Android that lets you pay for your coffee with your phone. The payment-capable app follows in the footsteps of Starbucks’ apps for iOS and BlackBerry, and packs the same features.

The app allows you to add credit to your Starbucks Card (in-app), and scan the app’s barcode at the cash register to order. You can also view your transaction history, and manage your card’s balance directly from your device.

It will also locate all Starbucks locations within your vicinity, while offering additional coffee-based incentives; including the Starbucks’ rewards program. Only about 6800 stores (plus 1000 Target locations) support the mobile payments, but the company is planning on adding about 1000 more locations by this July.

Starbucks for Android is available for all Android handsets running OS 2.1 or above. You can download it from the Android Market for free.
