Flipbooks are those little paperback books with a series of images arranged so that you can flip from front to back and watch what looks like a very short movie. Flickbooks is an iPhone app that lets you create a flipbook.
Here’s how it works. You download and install the free app, shoot a short video with your iPhone’s camera, design front and back covers, and then pay for Flickbooks to turn your movie into a book. The company will mail your book to you in about two weeks.
You can shoot your video from within the app or select an existing video in your camera roll and then use the app to crop your favorite part of the video. The full sequence should be between 6 and 15 seconds. The finished flipbook will only be 50 pages, so anything too long or too short can’t be turned into a book.
It normally costs €9.90 (about $14) plus shipping to print the book. But the folks at Flickbook are giving away free flickbooks to 3 Mobiputing readers. But even if you don’t win, you can get a 25% off voucher.
There are three ways to enter. Enter all three times if you want to increase your chance of winning.

This contest is open to anyone in the US or Europe. We’ll select 3 winners on Monday, so you have until 12:00am midnight on Monday to enter.
While Flickbook is willing to foot the bill for the free books, the winners will still have to pay for postage, which is about €3 ($4). If that’s a problem you might want to sit this one out.
Once we’ve selected winners we’ll contact everyone else with a promo code for 25% off the purchase of a flickbook, so make sure you use a valid Facebook, Twitter, or email account to enter or we won’t be able to contact you.
This would be great if it was 1895!
