The Associated Press has overhauled its mobile news app for iOS. Version 5.0 has a new design for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and a prominent new “Big Stories” section which provides quick access to stories about hot topics including the 2012 presidential race and upcoming summer Olympics.
The AP also shows photos and videos on each category page, allows you to customize the app with the news categories you’re most interested in, and allows you to view local news from your area.
There’s an optional to enable breaking news alerts and you can share articles via Facebook, Twitter, or email. You can also use the app to send news tips to the Associated Press.
