The folks behind the popular GO Launcher Ex home screen app for Android smartphones are working on a new tablet-sized version. You can already download a public beta of GO Launcher HD.

Go Launcher HD adds a dock to the bottom of your screen, allowing you to add shortcuts to a few apps that will show up on all of your home screens.

You can also use the app to change the size of the home screen grid — allowing you to cram more apps on your home screen or have fewer apps and more space between each icon.

The app also allows you to customize your home screens much more quickly than you can with the default launchers that come with Android 3.0 and later.

The folks at Droid Life have put together a demo video showing Go Launcher HD beta in action. You can check it out after the break.
