Just in case you had any doubt that Google was getting ready to introduce the next version of its Android operating system at Google I/O this week, Google has added a dessert-themed statue to its collection.

There’s now a sculpture of jelly beans hanging out by the Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Frozen Yogurt, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, and Ice Cream Sandwich outside Building 44 on Google’s campus.

Jelly Bean is the codename for Google Android 4.1, and while Google hasn’t share many details about the new operating system yet, we do know that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be the first phone to be updated to Jelly Bean.

It’s also likely that Google will introduce the first Android 4.1 tablet this week — widely expected to be a 7 inch Nexus tablet built by Asus.
