Apple’s latest beta version of iOS 6 is now available for developers to download. If you have a developer account, you should be able to grab the over-the-air iOS 6 beta 3 update directly on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. You can also download the software from developer.apple.com.

iOS 6

It’s likely that many of the changes are hidden below the surface, but 9 to 5 Mac already spotted a few differences between the latest beta and the one that came before.

They’re not exactly mind-blowing: There’s a new Maps section that lets you change your units of measurement, and there are new icons in the Safari web browser where there used to be text menus.

Apple unveiled some of the biggest changes coming in iOS 6 last month. The upcoming operating system includes Facebook integration, a new Maps app developed by Apple (instead of the Google Maps app included in iOS 5 and earlier), new phone app features, including a Do Not Disturb option, and more.
